Parish Visits

Project Gambia, being formed in Holy Family Church in Mossend and St. John the Baptist Church in Uddingston, fundraises primarily through appeals in parishes.

Following our support from the Bishops of Scotland (primarily Bishop John Keenan of the Paisley Diocese), most of our appeals take place in the Diocese of Motherwell, Diocese of Paisley, Diocese of Galloway, Diocese of Dunkeld, Archdiocese of Glasgow, Diocese of Hexham and Newcastle, Archdiocese of Armagh, Derry Diocese and Diocese of Down and Connor. We also fundraise in other Dioceses. This partnership has proved life-changing for Project Gambia.

Our dedicated team travel to parishes every weekend to spread word about our mission in West Africa, gathering enormous support.

In March of 2019, we travelled to The Gambia with plaques showing the parishes in each Diocese which have supported us. More information on Project Gambia and the Catholic Church is available from our Facebook page. We are hugely grateful to all those who have made this fundraising possible.
